Bible Exam, P.E. & C.E. Exams

M.Div., Th.M., Th.M+Ph.D. & Ph.D. students MUST read and UNDERSTAND the instructions and Guidelines before taking the Bible Examination, Preliminary Examination or Comprehensive Examination.
 

Bible Exam

 
  • Bible exam is a partial requirement for the degree of Master of Divinity.
  • All M.Div. students must take the Bible exam in every semester.
  • The Bible Exam portion will be notified in advance to the students for preparation.
  • Every student must pass the exam to be eligible for the graduation.
  • The required minimum cumulative score for the graduation are 360 points out of 600.
  • In order to achieve minimum cumulative score for the graduation, students must earn minimum score 60 or above every semester.
There will be no re-exam for those who score less than minimum required score each semester. Thus, each exam is important to accumulate required score.
 

Preliminary Examination (P.E.)

 
  • Preliminary exam is a partial requirement for the degree of Master of Theology.
  • Th.M. students must take the preliminary exam at the end of their third semester.
  • Students must register for the preliminary exam in advance at the AIGS office.
  • Preliminary exam fee is 10,000 won and it must be paid at the time of registration.
  • Preliminary exam portion will be covered on the related academic knowledge given by one’s major department.
  • Student must pass the exam in order to be eligible for the graduation.
  • In case of fail, students must re-take the exam by paying additional 10,000 won.
 

Comprehensive Examination (C.E.)

 
  • Comprehensive exam is a partial requirement for the degrees of Th.M+Ph.D. and Ph.D.
  • Th.M+Ph.D. students must take the comprehensive exam at the end of their sixth or seventh semester.
  • Ph.D. candidates must take the comprehensive exam at the end of their fourth or fifth semester.
  • Students must register for the comprehensive exam in advance at the AIGS office.
  • Comprehensive exam fee is 250,000 won and it must be paid at the time of registration.
  • Comprehensive exam portion will be covered on four academic areas given by one’s major department and one by the non-major department.
  • Students must pass the exam to be eligible for the graduation.
In case of fail from each academic area, students must re-take the exam by paying additional 50,000 won per each area of course.
